Enriching Your Curriculum

Universities and employers want more than just great results. They want to see individuals who have given back to communities or who are passionate about getting involved in different activities. There is nothing more impressive to a University admissions tutor then your involvement with the debate club if you want to study Law. How about helping a younger student in peer mentoring if you want to show your caring side as a doctor. Also, become the editor of our newsletter to make you stand out above others if you wanted to study journalism at a top Russell Group University.

Here at KES we are so proud of the different opportunities we have on offer so get involved. Try something new or just give back.

Enrichment activities on offer at KES:

  • Creative Writing and Book Club
  • Drama Opportunities / N2C Drama Company
  • The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
  • Debating Society
  • Extended Project Qualification
  • Music Opportunities
  • Paired Reading
  • Peer Mentoring
  • Performing Arts
  • Sixth Form Sport
  • Student Council

As a member of the school you will also be expected to take part in enrichment afternoons which occur over the year. We envisage that Sixth Form students will be running some of these activities and it is a great leadership opportunity.

Enrichment opportunities are emailed out weekly so students please check your school emails.
