KES School Garden Begins
This week, we have started work on the new KES School Garden!
In a collaboration between Mitie (our site managers) and our DT department (with some help from the Eco Council), we are turning an unused area of the grounds into a productive garden!
Yesterday was day 1, and we managed to turn the ground over, put some raised beds in, and plant out some courgettes, pumpkins and beans. The students also worked with Mitie to build some bird boxes and bug hotels for the local wildlife.
Well done to all involved, and we look forward to seeing how the garden progresses over the coming months.
