Admission Appeal Timelines
Appeals for entry to Y7 in September 2018 will be administrated by the Local Authority on behalf of the Academy and in line with the statutory Appeal Code of Practice. Appeals will be heard at the Sheffield Town Hall. Any parent who is refused a place at King Ecgbert School will be entitled to appeal to an independent panel.
Parents will be advised of the exact closing date and appeal procedure when they receive notification of the outcome of their application on 1 March 2018. Appeal Application Forms can be obtained from the Local Authority or dowloaded here where you can also find guidance about the process.
Appeals are scheduled by the Local Authority on behalf of the Academy and those that are submitted on time are normally heard in April and May, before the Spring Bank half term . Schedules will be determined after the closing date for receiving appeals. Appeals that are submitted late will be scheduled after this date.
You will be notified of the date and time of your appeal in writing by the City Council.
