The examinations period can be a stressful time for both students and parents and it is important that all those involved are as well informed as possible.
The administration of both internal and public examinations has now become a "year round activity". We also hold mock examinations for year 10 and 11 that we run to the same standards and rules as for Public examinations. This familiarises our students with the examination process before the real thing.
King Ecgbert School are committed to making every effort to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a way that will cause as little stress as possible and aim to help all our students achieve their best.
Information for Parents
The Joint Council for Qualifications have decided that they need the option to postpone an exam in the event of an incident and re-arrange this for a later date to allow all students a fair and equal chance. This decision has been made following the tragic events of last summer - the Manchester attacks and the Grenfell Tower fire.
The date that has been confirmed as the contingency day is Wednesday 26 June 2019.
Therefore, all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the start of the exams in May until Wednesday 26 June 2019.
