Remote Learning
Throughout lock down, teaching and learning has continued for our students. Subjects found creative and innovative ways to teach and support their students while they were working remotely. From live lessons, pre recorded videos and instructions, to guest speakers, live debates and project work. All our resources are stored in central locations to support future revision and learning. We support students' wellbeing with individual calls and support plans, making sure our wrap-around care continues even when we we're unable to meet.
We hand delivered 100s of laptops to students’ homes by friendly school staff and set them up on their home wi-fi for them - even installing wi-fi if they didn’t have it - all paid for by Mercia Learning Trust.
It’s good to know that innovation with technology is at the cutting edge because King Ecgbert School was designated as one of the first Department for Education EdTech Demonstrator Schools. Headteacher Paul Haigh advises the Government about policy in the area and our work is shared with other schools. You are in safe hands in school and virtually!

How to Apply
Students apply via Sheffield Progress at their school.
The deadline for submission is 31st January.
If individuals are applying outside of Sheffield (e.g Derbyshire) students must apply via the paper form.
Students must check that they have the correct entry requirements for each subject and pick only one subject per block.
Students can do a combination of BTECs and A-Levels. See the documents below for FAQs.
Please see the blocks, entry requirement sheet and How to Apply guidance booklet below for more help.

We hope you have enjoyed this virtual open evening. We would have loved to have welcomed you through the doors, and we know nothing virtual quite has the same impact as that moment. To get more of a flavour of KES, take a look around our website and social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
It's been a pleasure putting this together for you, but if we've missed something you need to know the answer to in order to make your mind up about the right school for Y12, please email us. We hope you understand that this is an incredibly busy time for us, so phone calls and school visits must be replaced with email contact for now.
Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey to help us analyse the open evening. Thank you.
Below are some documents for you to look at at your leisure.
