Success in the Sixth Form
Y12 students and their parents/carers are invited to a virtual evening hosted online by the sixth form team with the aim of informing you about the support we provide our students and key information on how to be successful in sixth form. We have also asked our form tutors to call home individually so you have an opportunity to talk to a key member of staff about how your loved ones have settled in.
Virtual talks – available HERE
- Miss McCairns, Director of Sixth Form will talk about how we encourage our sixth form students to become independent learners and extra-curricular activities.
- Head Boy and Head Girl give advice to new students.
- Mrs Norman, Head of Year 12 will explain the mentoring and monitoring systems in Y12.
- Mrs Stott, Head of Year 13 will discuss competitive applications including Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.
Please also be available to receive a phone call from your son/daughters form tutor between the times of 4pm–6pm. So we can accommodate all families this will be a 5 minute phone call as an introduction, some feedback about how they are settling in and an opportunity to ask questions.
We look forward to ‘seeing’ you on the evening!
