Remote Learning

What should I do if I am isolating or sent home from school to self-isolate?

We understand this is a difficult experience for everyone who cannot be at school.

Your teachers will use Edulink to set you work each day. This should follow your normal timetable (although some subjects may provide you with work at the start of the week for you to complete as the week goes on). Work from the lessons should be labelled as 'Class work' on Edulink.

On the first day you are off this may not be possible until the end of the day, so please see below for some extra guidance.

Your first check should always be on Edulink. If you can’t log on to Edulink, you should contact your Year Manager, or email enquiries@ecgbert.sheffield.sch.uk so your details can be sorted out.

Make sure you follow the teacher’s instructions, particularly where you have been asked to send work back to them. This allows them to see how you are doing and provide you with help and advice.

If you are in need of extra help, email your teachers directly.

If you need any other help or advice, contact your Year Manager.

What should I do on the first day I am isolating?

On the first day you are absent your teachers may not be able to set work until the end of the day as they may be teaching all day.

If this is the case, have a look below for some useful links and ideas for the subjects you are missing. Just click on the subject you wish to find out about.

Work  can also be found on Moodle pages which can be accessed with a student login.

Sixth form students may also wish to check Teams or work on independent work that has already been set.
